Retreats

Part press trip, part workshop…a whole lot of fun!

About Our Retreats

Our travel writing and blogging retreats are designed to help get writers to the next level—making more money and exploring more of the world. Whether you’re looking for more bylines in publications or more traffic for your blog, our small group retreats (no more than 8 writers) allow for the hands-on assistance you can’t get at a big industry conference. Plus, you get to do it all in an amazing destination with time to explore and make new writing friends.

Each trip is different but every retreat includes:

  • Private accommodations
  • Gourmet dining and craft beverages
  • Unique local activities
  • Group masterminding and training sessions
  • Ongoing support in a private Facebook group
Each of our retreats is customized to fit each specific group of attendees and improve their skills as a travel writer or blogger.

Travel Writing Retreats

Our travel writing retreats are part press trip and part workshop. We partner with destinations to show our travel writers the best their area has to offer, and between fun activities and delectable meals, Noreen and Kristi teach informational workshops that will help you land more paid assignments and all-inclusive press trips.

These trips include:

  • Four days, three nights
  • Your own private room in a hotel or vacation rental
  • Local dining experiences
  • Fun activities
  • 5 one-hour workshops
  • Byline opportunities in our publications

Travel Blogging Retreats

Our travel blogging retreats are a little less structured than our travel writing retreats to give us more hands-on time with your blog. We have co-working time every morning until lunchtime (where our blogging experts are available to help with backend work, SEO, etc.), and then everyone has free time in the afternoons to explore the destination.
These trips include:
  • Five days, four nights
  • Your own private room in a hotel or vacation rental
  • A 1:1 session to look at your blog
  • Assistance with ad networks, affiliate programs and other money-making opportunities
  • A custom SEO report on your site
  • A custom strategy for your blog going forward to increase traffic and income

Happy writers

The travel writers retreat is what I needed to continue with travel writing. It was such an inspirational group to enjoy Breckenridge with. The retreat was the perfect combination of learning and experiencing what a FAM trip is. I got out of my comfort zone and came back energised ready to write articles with new knowledge. I’m so ready to see where the travel writers life takes me and I couldn’t do it without the guidance from Noreen and Kristi.

Erin Jones

Noreen and Kristi developed a program designed to build confidence. The retreat content was practical and can be readily used to improve our pitches. The venue was beyond breathtaking, and I developed relationships that will last.  I highly recommend participating and I would happily do it again!
