We’re two travel writing friends who love helping other travel writers succeed!
Kristi and Noreen
We met on our very first press trip as travel writers and realized the more tips and tricks we shared, the more we succeeded!
Kristi Dosh is a “recovering attorney” who transformed her career through blogging and social media to become ESPN’s first female sports business reporter. She met Noreen on a press trip and quickly discovered writing about travel was as much fun as writing about sports.
Kristi is a contributor for Forbes and has written for POPSUGAR, AARP, CraftBeer.com, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Glamour, Men’s Health, Woman’s Day, Parents, Golf Digest and more.
Kristi holds a law degree from the University of Florida and a B.A. in Politics from Oglethorpe University. She is the author of two books, a frequent public speaker and an adjunct lecturer in Journalism at UF.
Noreen Kompanik is a retired registered nurse, legal nurse consultant, and military spouse turned travel writer. She launched her travel writing career in 2014 and has over 900 articles in both digital and print publications.
She is an assistant editor for Food, Wine, Travel Magazine and a senior writer for GoNOMAD. Noreen is also a regular contributor to Travel Pulse, San Diego Explorer, Edible San Diego Magazine, International Living, and Europe Up Close, and more, and pioneered the Travel Writer’s Café, a private group for travel writers.
Noreen loves teaching travel writers about creative writing tricks that deepen their stories and land more assignments. She’s also the queen of press trips, going on more than 25 press trips a year.
What we do
We share everything we know about travel writing with our community — and if we don’t know it, we bring in someone who does!
We’re both prolific writers whose work has appeared across dozens of print and digital publications.
